DESCRIPTION:

The Virginia marriage records are divided into two classes-those contained in the parish registers, and the marriage bonds or intentions, which were filed with the county clerk. This database, of over 9,000 names, treats principally with the latter class of records. The marriage records are printed under their individual counties, and each entry includes the names of the individuals, and the date of marriage.
